A beautiful and low-numbered Evolutions Set. This limited-edition set includes two $50 matching serial numbered notes from the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank, comprised of a a Series 2001 Star note and a Series 2004 note.

This unique set remains the only set ever issued by the BEP of matching $50 star and non-star notes.

Former BEP Director Ferguson states in the beautiful booklet that accompanies the Set, “this exquisitely crafted set represents the age old intaglio art and showcases the development and progression of United States paper currency. The evolution and history of the $50 is so rich, we have bound it all together for you in this beautiful package.”

Limited to only 2000 sets, these quickly sold-out at the BEP. The sets occasionally surface, but don’t be surprised that a dedicated search, particularly for a low-numbered set, proves a lot tougher than you might expect.

The serial numbers of these Evolutions Sets start at #4001, so locating a low-numbered set, such as the ones offered here, is just a stroke of good fortune.
