Reunited at last!
Born and raised 433 miles apart, one in Philadelphia, the other in Cleveland, it was highly unlikely that this pair would ever find one another.
Sharing the same 1963A Series, the same special serial number, consecutive Districts (3 & 4), and the closest possible block letters (identical block letters are impossible on currency from separate districts), it is only through a stroke of good fortune that these kindred spirits came together. (Their eyes joined across the cavernous halls of a national currency show.)
The ability to bring together related and complimentary notes is one of the great pleasures of currency collecting that separates it from most other pursuits.
And here before you is a wonderful example of that…
