Limited to 75,000 sets, which quickly sold-out, this wonderful set celebrated, with fireworks, the New Millennium. Featuring serial number F20000600H on the 6th District, this set is a striking visual feast of Serial Number and District symmetry. (OK, ‘feast’ might be a bit strong, but ‘buffet’ is certainly not up to the task.)

Speaking of symmetry, the demand for District and Serial Number symmetry notes appears to be on the rise. A recent Lyn Knight auction featured a $1 serial #11 star on the 11th District, which sold for far in excess of other low-numbered stars.

As you can imagine, a great number of these Sets have been broken-up for grading purposes. Thousands of others remained sealed-up, the idea being that future buyers would prefer a virgin set over one that may have been found lacking by self-serving cherry-pickers.

Suffice it to say, it is awfully tough to find a complete U.S. Millennium Coinage and Currency Set with such a striking piece of currency.
