First issued in June of 2001, this set is limited to only 5000 sets. It includes the first notes from the 1999 $10 Series and the last notes from the 1995 $10 Series.
Series 1999 serial numbers began with number 301. The 1995 notes were from the special ‘AY’ block that was limited to only 8,000 notes. These notes were used exclusively for this set and the 1999 $10 Premium Sets, a fact few collectors are aware of.
Sets including the 1999 $10s in the 300 serial range are the most desired of these Portfolios and are very difficult to locate. In addition, many of these sets were likely acquired by casual collectors, who tend to keep them in the family rather than in the marketplace,
