This Complete Collection features matching serial-numbered 2004 $20 and $50 from each of the 12 Federal Reserve Districts.

Initially limited to 500 Complete Sets, the demand from the public was so great that the BEP attempted to assuage buyer discontent by instituting a lottery for 50 each of the individual sets, leaving a maximum of 450 Complete sets available worldwide.

With each individual District set from the Collection issued periodically over a series of many months, it was not uncommon for the lucky buyers to sell the individual sets as they received them, rather than holding onto them until the Collection was completed. As a result, complete Collections, consisting of all 12 Federal Reserve Banks are very difficult to come by. And least we forget, the maximum Sets issued was only 450 to begin with.

The serial numbers issued by the BEP for these sets began with Serial #1900 and extended to #2400. As such, the Collection offered here is quite exceptional since 11 of the 12 Districts are from the lowest possible 00001900 range. Also, three of the District Sets (1929, 1934, and 1981) match.
