The Mission of Currency America

1. To offer ‘Exceptional Currency for the Discriminating Collector’. There are hundreds of scarce and rare notes available to the discriminating collector on this website.

2. To increase the awareness and knowledge of fellow collectors in areas such as modern BEP Special Issues where rare and beautiful notes and sets are still available at moderate prices. Our upcoming article on BEP Premium Sets in the September 2008 issue of Paper Money Values is a good example of this.

3. To offer fair and objective advice to sellers of currency on the best venue in which to sell their currency. That may mean referral to a specialty dealer or a particular auction house, use of an auction site (eBay), or a combination of these, depending on your circumstances and time frame.

Our experience has shown that collectors often spend 98% of their time on the accumulation side and (maybe) 2% of their time determining the best strategy for disposing of their holdings.

4. To extend honesty and respect to fellow collectors and to always remember that the pleasure of collecting (or investing) is the lifeblood of our hobby.
